What if there was a retirement Old Russian Holmes film

This is Vitaly Solomin’s older brother Yury, also a very famous actor in Russia. A few days ago, on June 18, he celebrated his 85th birthday. I think if someone ever made a film about Holmes and Watson in retirement, he would be an ideal casting choice to play with Vasily Livanov.

I saw a TV program about Yury’s jubilee by chance, and it just struck me that he’d make a fabulous Watson in retirement :)

The pics are from Chekhov’s play The Seagull, and until I saw him in the 19th century clothes the thought of Watson didn’t cross my mind :)
