This community is a place to explore the world of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson, i.e. from the middle of the 19th century to the late Victorian era to World War I, and to the Roaring Twenties, 1930s, and possibly 1940s. So the Victorian period is just a starting point. Originally this comm was intended mostly for recs and fic promotion (as everyone by all means is still welcome to do), but gradually it gravitated towards being a research lumber room with reviews of books, TV series, web resources, etc. regarding various historical aspects. Hope you will find it interesting and maybe even helpful for writing your fic. If you have anything to bring for discussion, please do!
